  • What is the dress code for the restaurants at night?

    Kindly note that the dress code in all bars and restaurants in the evening as from 6.30pm is casual smart. For men, the dress code is casual smart with full length trousers and closed shoes collared shirt.

  • Is there a shuttle to go around Le Domaine de Bel Ombre?

    There is a free shuttle all day which is accessible at the reception of all onsite outlets.

  • What is the check-in and check-out time?

    Check-in time is 2pm the check-out is noon.

  • What are the dining facilities available for Heritage Resorts guests?

    Heritage Resorts offers a range of 12 restaurants and 8 bars, all of them located on Le Domaine de Bel Ombre. Depending on your meal plan, you can have access to all the restaurants with or without extra costs. Bookings are strongly recommended and can be done only upon your arrival at the resort.

  • What are the treatments available at the Seven Colours Spa?

    With access to two spa villages, one of 3000m2 at Heritage Awali and one of 2000m2 at Heritage Le Telfair offering different types of treatments: massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, wellness walks, yoga and wellness breaks wit international teachers.

  • What are the facilities provided for children?

    Whether your children are toddlers or teenagers, we provide baby, kids and teens clubs to suit all ages. The Baby Timomo club from 0 to 2 years old, the Timomo & Friends kids’ club for 2 to 11 years old and the Cool Teens programme for youngsters from 12 to 17 years old.

  • What are the rates and booking procedures to play golf?

    Heritage Resorts' guests are entitled to free green fees. Prior booking at the course's Club House is needed.

  • Is there an extra charge for enjoying water activities?

    The Cabana nautical centre offers numerous water activities, some of them are free of charge and others are at extra charge.

  • Can you organise transfers from the airport to the hotel?

    The hotel can arrange your transfer from airport to the hotel and vice versa at extra cost.

  • Should I bring a power plug adapter?

    Rooms are equipped with standard British sockets (240 volts) and a French standard socket.

    We provide beach towels to our guests.

    Airport transfers can be organised upon request and at extra cost.

    The Wi-Fi access is free of charge and available in rooms and public areas.

  • Do you help with foreign currency exchange?

    We do provide a foreign currency exchange service at the Reception desk.

  • What time is check-in/check-out?

    Check-in time is 2pm and check-out time is noon.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    - Year round (except peak season): Less than14 days prior to the stay – payment of 2 nights/ Less than 7 days – payment of 3 nights/ No show and less than 2 days prior to the stay – payment of 100% of the rate.

    - Peak season: Between 30 and 0 days prior to the stay – payment of 100% of the rate

  • Which document should I give at check-in?

    You can show either an accommodation voucher if you have booked your stay through a Tour Operator or your confirmation number if you have done it through any Online Travel Agency or direct bookings. Passport or identity card is necessary.

  • Do you apply additional charges for early check-in or late check-out?

    Early check-in and late check-out are charged at 50% of daily room rate.
     
  • What are the methods of payment accepted?

    Cash and credit cards are accepted: Visa, Amex, MasterCard & Diners Club International.
  • Is it necessary to bring an electric socket adapter?

    All rooms are equipped with British Standard sockets (240 volts) and one French standard socket.

  • Is room service available?

    A 24-hour room service is available (at extra cost).
  • Do you provide bathroom amenities?

    We offer free bathroom amenities.

  • Do you provide hair dryer, bathrobe and slippers?

    We do provide a hairdryer, shaver socket, dressing, bathrobes and slippers in room.

    Guests can enjoy an interactive flat screen TV (satellite) and video on demand (at extra charge).
  • What are the dining facilities available to guests?

    Heritage Awali’s main restaurant Savana (à la carte and buffet) serves an international style cuisine, Boma (open-air restaurant) serves traditional African dishes, Zafarani is an Indian and adults only restaurant, Amafrooty offers sandwiches, salads and lunch buffets and Infinity Blue (pool and beach restaurant) serves international style cuisine.

  • What are the different meal plans offered?

    Guests staying at Heritage Awali can choose between 2 meal plans: All Inclusive and All Inclusive Premium. 

  • Can I dine in all the 12 restaurants of Le Domaine de Bel Ombre?

    Guests staying at Heritage Awali have access to all the restaurants located on Le Domaine de Bel Ombre. Charges will apply in some restaurants but you will benefit from a full à la carte menu at discounted prices.

  • What are the facilities available at the spa?

    The Seven Colours Spa offers 20 treatment rooms including 13 indoor treatment rooms and 7 outdoor treatment rooms. Guests will also enjoy a vitality pool, a chilled pool, 2 hammams, a sauna, 2 relaxation areas, 1 hairdresser with beauty parlour, a bridal room, a Timomo (kids) treatment room and Wellness Walks in Frédérica Nature Reserve (at extra cost).

  • How much is a green fee at your golf course?

    One free green fee per night stay on our 18-hole championship golf course. The Heritage Golf Club also offers equipment rental, lessons with a PGA pro, and unique night golf sessions and SNAG (at extra cost)…

  • Can we enjoy land sports for free?

    Our fully equipped fitness centre and entertainment team offers numerous land based activities, some of them are free of charge (beach volley, bike tours, table tennis, tennis…) and others are at extra charge (Segway, personal coach, quad biking, golf lessons…).

  • Is there any evening entertainment?

    In the evening you can enjoy different kind of entertainment such as Live Band Music, cinema sessions on the beach (at extra cost), Jazz nights, Sega evenings, African nights...

  • What do you offer for families travelling with babies from 0 to 2?

    We offer a free baby club dedicated to babies from 0 to 2 years old, open seven days a week from 8.30am to 4 pm with 6 baby nurses trained in first aid and childcare (booking 12 hrs in advance).

  • Is there a babysitting service?

    You can book a babysitter via the hotel in advance and at extra cost.
     
  • Are there baby amenities?

    A baby basket with basic Johnson & Johnson products is offered in room for all bookings including a baby from 0 to 3 years old.
  • Can formula milk, nappies and baby food be purchased?

    Available at the Blue Earth shop.

  • Are there single/double pushchairs?

    On request before checking and free if the child is registered at the Timomo Kids Club

  • Can baby food be prepared?

    Yes, the chef can prepare purees for free, but parents can also purchase Blédina baby food at the Blue Earth shop.

  • Are there baby beds, cribs or foldable beds?

    Foldable beds.

  • Is there a kids Club?

  • Do you offer different wedding packages?

    Heritage Awali offers 2 different wedding packages: ‘Classic’ (free of charge) and ‘Premium’ Luxury (at extra cost).

  • What kind of venues are available?

    You can choose between a variety of locations: wedding kiosk, beach, the gardens of Le Château de Bel Ombre, in a boat in front of the hotel, at the Frederica Nature Reserve or at the C Beach Club (upon request and with supplement).

     
  • Do you provide a wedding coordinator service?

    We do provide the services of a dedicated wedding coordinator.

  • What are the other services you provide?

    We provide flower, photography, music and spa services as well as special services such as fireworks and horse-driven colonial carriage…

  • Are legal procedures compulsory?

    1. The ‘Civil wedding package’ is compulsory for all direct customers of Heritage Awali.

       

Heritage The Villas

  • Where are the villas situated?

    The villas are on the Domaine de Bel Ombre which comprises two 5-star hotels, a Beach Club, an 18-hole golf course, 45 villas to rent and a nature reserve. The villas are not on the beach but a dedicated beach club a few minutes away is offered to villa guests

  • How many bedrooms do the villas have?

    2-bedroom villas (160 m2) for 4 people maximum

     

    3-bedroom villas (180 - 220 m2) for 6 people maximum

     

    4-bedroom villas (250 - 350 m2) for 8 people maximum

     

    Each bedroom has its own bath/shower and WC.

  • What does my villa include?

    A spacious terrace with a seating area, dining table, sun loungers, infinity pool, gazebo and barbecue.

     

    An open-air tropical garden offering a stunning view over the golf course and the ocean.

     

    Lots of interior space with a living room, dining room, kitchen and utility room (with an oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer…).

    Tap water is considered safe but we would advise to drink bottled water.

  • Should I bring a mosquito repellent?

    Yes, it is advised to use a range of reliable repellents.

  • Do I need to get specific vaccinations before going to Mauritius?

    A trip to Mauritius does not require any particular vaccinations.
